Dr. Sushma Krishnamurthy is one of the few female surgeons practicing in Mysore. She completed MBBS from Mysore Medical College and DNB General Surgery from Holdsworth Memorial (Mission) Hospital. She has mentored several post graduate students during her 10 years of service at Holdsworth Memorial Hospital, before becoming a freelance surgeon. She has a rich experience of 14 years, dealing with elective and emergency surgeries having done surgeries for removal of lumps like lipoma, sebaceous cyst,lymph node etc, biopsy of lump or ulcer, ear lobe repair, thyroid surgeries, abdominal surgeries for hernia (umbilical, inguinal, incisional), intestinal obstruction etc, surgeries for diabetic complications like debridement, amputations etc, breast surgeries for abscess, lump including cancer, surgeries for pilonidal sinus, surgeries for anal problems like fissure, hemorrhoids, fistula and surgeries for varicose veins. She also does laparoscopic surgeries for appendicitis and gall bladder diseases and diagnostic endoscopy.

 

Concerned with the spike in breast diseases, especially cancer in young women, she's been creating awareness and treating breast diseases. She will be available for consultation by appointment.
